About Andy Bates

Andy Bates is the host of Faith ‘n’ Family on KFUO and brings a combination of experience and education in broadcasting and youth and family ministry to KFUO. Andy studied at Mineral Area College, Park Hills, MO and transferred to Concordia University, River Forest. At Concordia University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication/theatre with a minor in theology. He also completed a Master of Arts in Religion and a Director of Christian Education certificate. While a student, he was also on the air at KDBB/KFMO, Park Hills, MO and WCBW in St. Louis. Andy is an LCMS rostered Director of Christian Education (DCE) and in addition to his work at KFUO serves Trinity Lutheran Church, Millstadt, IL as Deacon for Youth and Education. Andy and his wife, Lauren, who is also a DCE, are expecting their first child in September. They’re grateful for all the great advice they receive on Faith ‘n’ Family as their family grows.
